Finally, the second version of the Bulgarian Fan Controller is finished. There was a small hair of solder shorting the 5v rail to ground. After a second scan of the board with a magnifying glass, I noticed the short. A quick test of the board looked as if everything is working correctly. RS232 data was being sent, along with the ECT pin reading almost no voltage. I think the fluctuation in the voltage levels on the ECT pin are related to the way PICBASIC handles the analog input. The transitors still need to be checked to see if they will switch the relays on/off when the engine temp reaches the setpoints. Hopefully I can test it on the car later on in the week.
